JOSH WELCH

I love to take pictures.  I fell in love with photography several years ago in Mexico with my wife and two boys.  I bought a cheap point and shoot camera and felt so proud of my images.  I love to capture images of people that are real.  I love music, art, and fashion, and my two sons tell me I have too many tattoos.  The past few years I traveled the country with my friends, The Flaming Lips, and took thousands of pictures of kids, freaks, and famous musicians.  I took pictures of people ranging from Yoko Ono to Erykah Badu to Jackson Brown to Ariel Pink-- and loved every second of it.  That experience has shaped my photography.  I thank Michelle Coyne for teaching me the art of photography--and especially for teaching me that sometimes less is more when it comes to taking a photograph.  

  I specialize in lifestyle and portrait work,  and recently my business has expanded to commercial work and advertising.  I take projects if they allow me the opportunity to be creative and different.  Thank you for visiting my site.  Rates available upon request.
